Birth preparation classes
These one off sessions are designed to help pregnant women and their birthing partners feel more prepared for the birth.
This one and a half hour session focuses on the three main stages of birth
1. latent and established first stage
2. second stage - birthing the baby
3. third stage - the release of the placenta
For each stage we'll explore
1. movements to help you be more comfortable and to aid the birth
2. breath and visualisation to help you to keep as calm and relaxed as possible
3. ways your partner can help support you in the above
You don't need any previous experience in yoga to attend this session.
Who are the sessions for?
Pregnant women in a group - up to six in a session
Pregnant women and their partners - up to three couples in a session
You can either create your own group for a session, or contact me and I will arrange one that you can attend, with or without your birthing partner.
Where
Location varies. Private classes can also be given in your home.
Cost
Places cost £15 per person to a group class. £60 for a private session. Payment must be received in full one week before the session. Due to limited class space, payment is non-refundable once received in full. Cheques should be made payable to Downward Dog Ltd.
How to book
All classes have currently stopped as I am on maternity leave until the end of September.
Other
1. Please wear comfortable clothes.

Bring a birth ball if you have one and intend on using it during the birth.
