Helen is a British Wheel of Yoga and Sivananda trained teacher. She has specialist training in pregnancy and postnatal yoga.

"I have been practicing yoga since 1998. The more I practiced and learnt about yoga the more I began to love it. It started as a physical practice and over the years it developed to become a way of life. Yoga has changed the way I feel physically and emotionally and has offered me a way to live a more balanced and harmonious life. I began teaching because I wanted to share the experience of yoga with other people.

I am a British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Teacher. The BWY teacher diploma took two and a half years and the course covered yogic philosophy, anatomy and physiology, pranayama, meditation and asana. I am also a trained Sivananda teacher, having completed an intensive four week course in an Ashram in Southern India.

I am a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher and post-natal yoga teacher having trained with Uma Dinsmore Tuli at the Life Centre and Francoise Freedman of Birth Light. I have also trained in restorative yoga with Anna Ashby and completed 'Yoga off the Mat' training at Tri Yoga in London.

I am also a qualified Reiki II and Hypnobirthing (Marie Mongan method) Practictioner. I also hold a valid 'First Aid' certificate.

I am continuously developing my teaching by attending workshops and training days, retreats and experiencing classes by different teachers. My yoga learning will be a lifetimes work and I hope that these experiences will feed my teaching so I can enrich my students yoga practice."
